WHAT THERE’S MORE?
mako’s scarf/mako/mako’s eyebrows
THAT IS NOT A TRIANGLE
i am laughing so hard at the metalbender cops though.
omg. their arms are like guns.
like how police hold out their guns before entering a room.
except it’s their arms.
their arms you guys.
If they were firebenders it’d be their
Our ship just keeps sinking deeper and deeper into the ocean each episode..
DID YOU SEE KORRA’S FACE AT THE END? HER EXPRESSION SHOWS IT ALL THAT SHE’S HEARTBROKEN.
OMG THE TEARS. Q_Q
SHE GAVE HIM UP SO THAT HER NEW FRIEND CAN COPE PRACTICALLY LOSING HER OWN FATHER
At some point in this series, Korra needs to accidently crash into this statue, causing both the cabbage cart and the cabbage being held up in the air to break off and shatter on the ground, leaving behind only the lone cabbage merchant to stand forever in the ashes of his shame and humiliation.
Because the cabbage merchant and his cabbages are never safe.
Not even in statue form.
I always wonder what’s going through Zuko’s head in this moment.
Because you can tell in the moment he pauses before he speaks that he is having a lot of thoughts.
‘The fuck is he on? Is he being deprived of oxygen at this high altitude or just high? Is the moon a metaphor for something? Is he being poetic? Because that seemed awfully literal. Maybe we’re having a moment. I think we’re having a moment. Shit, I suck at moments. I should say something reassuring. But the fuck do you say to a guy who thinks his girlfriend is a celestial object?’
“…that’s rough, buddy.”
‘Fuck my life I’m the most awkward lion-turtle ever.’
awkward Zuko=the best Zuko of all the Zukos
I love it when fanfictions depict Zuko as this suave, witty person.
Like… did we watch the same show?
He was an awkward turtle duck, and that’s why he’s so lovable.
sorry for ranting, i just need to get this out (was gonna put this behind a cut but w/e people need to read this)
things people need to stop doing
- comparing the legend of korra thus far to avatar: the last airbender in overall terms of development, style, meaning, depth, and themes when KORRA…
I bet Zuko made up the no direct fire strikes to the head rule.
WHY AM I LAUGHING
Avatars learning the other 3 elements.
Avatar Aang and Avatar Roku got to travel around the world to master the 3 elements (aside from their native element) while Korra was stuck in the Southern Water Tribe, only to try mastering Airbending in Republic City.
Roku found out he was the Avatar when he turned 16.
Aang found out he was the Avatar when he was 12 (War reasons)
Korra found out she was the Avatar below the age of 10, and had the White Lotus kept her safe in the Southern Water Tribe to master the elements, Aang may have feared that the next Avatar would not be safe and cause another genocide. She had her own compound
while Howl was watchingand sometimes isn’t allowed to take Naga out for a stroll, This is why she has a hard time mastering Air, for air is the element of freedom. She spent her 17 years in a isolated place How do you master Earth in the South Pole anyway? nvmand is always watched, she never had freedom until she escaped to Republic City to train Airbending with Tenzin.
Maybe Aang also wanted Korra to know her true identity as the Avatar in a young age so that she wouldn’t be shocked and confused. The sad thing is, being the Avatar is the only thing that makes her feel great, she’s not like Aang who is hesitant to admit he’s the Avatar, she acknowledges it. I’m pretty sure Aang and Roku experienced being “normal”. But for Korra, she knew she was the Avatar from the start. That is why Amon is truly horrifying for her, what is she without her bending? It’s what makes her special.
